Genetic Recombination is a new layer of breeding officially confirmed in version 1.0: it fuses the genes of the high-level legend Pal to produce variant offspring that inherit specific entries, and the results will change with the server settings. It is a competitive breeding gameplay that is not available in Early Access. It stacks on top of the existing breeding system, not replaces it - so the existing breeding calculator still applies.
