Pal can be ridden, but catching it does not mean that you can ride it immediately.

Some Pal's companion skills allow the player to ride. Riding a land Pal can reduce the endurance and time cost of long-distance running; a flying Pal can bridge height differences. This is one of the most important mobility abilities in the early stages of Palworld, and beginners should not reach level 10 and still have to run the same path repeatedly using their legs.

First check whether it is rideable in the Pal illustration or the site information page, and then check the technology level of the corresponding saddle. Not all Pals can ride, nor do they all share the same saddle.

Saddle process: Technology unlocking → Pal equipment making table → Making

The first step is to find the target Pal's special saddle on the technology page and spend technology points to unlock it; the second step is to build the Pal equipment production bench; the third step is to prepare the leather, fiber, Paldium Fragments or other materials listed on the page, and complete the saddle at the production bench. After production, the corresponding partner skills will be available.

1.0 has readjusted the technology opening level and production cost, so the number of materials is based on your current game technology page. This site can confirm the saddle technology threshold of the data layer, but the material quantity of old videos should not be written as a permanent formula.

Candidate 1: Rushoar, finish the errands as soon as possible, early and first

Rushoar is a land candidate close to the early route that you can handle early; site data shows its saddle at technology Lv6. It is not the only answer, but you do not have to travel far for a first mount, and its charge and mining also serve the early game.

If your biggest problem now is running too slow between fast travel points and taking too long to get home after gathering, Rushoar is usually more valuable than waiting for a higher-level mount.

Candidate 2: Eikthyrdeer, in addition to movement, it can also cut wood

Eikthyrdeer's saddle is technology Lv12, ridable with a double jump; it also has Lumbering Lv2. When you meet them, catch one extra: one runs the map in your party and one chops trees at base, so a single trip covers movement and wood production.

If your base is short of wood, or the terrain often has small height differences, Eikthyrdeer will be more in line with your current needs than just pursuing speed.

Candidate 3: Nitewing, first ask the Small Settlement Pal merchants

Nitewing is the early flying candidate; site data shows its saddle at technology Lv15. Besides wild capture, you can check the Pal merchant at the Small Settlement for Nitewing in the current stock; merchant stock varies with refresh and world state, so do not idle there if it is absent.

Flying is not required upfront. You can also advance smoothly by making good use of land mounts, paragliders and fast travel points; but if you have prepared Lv15 saddle materials, Nitewing can significantly reduce the height difference and detour costs.

How to choose: Use current card points, not unique rankings

If you want to stop hiking back and forth as quickly as possible, look at Rushoar first; if you want to replenish your base and cut trees at the same time, choose Eikthyrdeer; you have reached level 15 and are often stuck by the height difference, so you prioritize Nitewing. The standard for a first mount is that it can be caught, the saddle can be made, and the material burden is reasonable.

After making the first saddle, immediately use it to complete a practical task: open two fast travel points, travel to a Small Settlement, or move back a batch of materials. The value of the mount lies in shortening the path of action, rather than just displaying it at the base.

Common mistakes

  • I thought I could ride the rideable Pal immediately after catching it, but I missed the technology and Pal equipment making station.
  • Walking for a long time for the only best mount actually slows down the entire start.
  • Write random items from Pal merchants as fixed guarantees.
