Zoning Exploration Guide · Lv39–41
obsidian volcano
The volcanic area is divided into upper and lower parts along the diagonal line, and the focus of exploration is all on the periphery (the middle is full of mountains, and there are few monsters on the flat ground). Depart from the remote fishing village teleport point. The level of monsters in this area is 30+ and less than 40. It is necessary to prepare yellow or above paru balls. It will be much easier to catch some special paru balls if possible. The core goal is to crush the fire bird and use it as a new flying mount to replace the wind-cut dragon.
Area Palu
| Palu | suitability for work | fall | Refresh location/notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crushed Firebird | (Working Pallu, required for this stage) | — | Outside the volcano (the refresh rate is not high, the battle music is different, and the level is too high and rebellious); important new monsters: new flying mounts, replacing the wind-cut dragon; use a special paru ball to enter the soul with one shot, or if you are lucky, a yellow ball will do. Grab more and choose good terms (such as athletes). |
| Pre-Yan King | — | — | The area around the second teleport point (level 37); when the yellow ball is hard, cut the special ball. |
Teleport point
| Teleport point | Main points |
|---|---|
| remote fishing village | The starting point for volcano exploration; first pass over to explore the left half of the area. There are black market traders (Palu buying and selling) here. |
| Volcano second transfer point | You can reach it by taking the waterway and rushing through it with Cloudy Blue; there are not many teleport points in the volcano. Afterwards, the remaining three new monsters were encountered one after another. |
Explore routes
- Before departure, make a meteorite launcher (meteorite fragments + gold chains + metal nails + palu ore fragments) and 20 meteorite bombs (used to fight group monsters, not the main weapon; the main weapon is still a bow and arrow).
- Teleport from the remote fishing village and explore upward along the left half of the area. During the day, there are 4 new monsters in this half of the area.
- Take the waterway and rush to the second transfer point. You will encounter 2+3 new monsters (including the Pre-Yan King) in the upper right and back sections. During the day, there are a total of 6 new monsters in the area.
- Along the way, give priority to catching firebirds and collecting green leaf rats outside the volcano.
Resources and treasure chests
| Resources | location | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| oil extraction point | Volcanic area ground (appears from the volcano) | Relevant after level 50; at this stage, crude oil mainly relies on airdrops. |
| Green Leaf Rat Statue | Outskirts of the volcano (see collection guide for details) | Increase capture power. |
Unlock nodes in this area
- Level 39: Meteorite launcher, refined metal box (upgrade terminal), penalty module (capture +3, can wait for sniper module 2).
- Level 40: Guild Box (the stronghold storage will be organized later).
- Level 42: Job Line Factory 2 (L Terminal).
Key points and pitfalls
- Try to go to low-level areas to catch the corresponding paru: It is very difficult to fight low-level monsters in high-level areas (it costs high-level balls + time). For example, if you return to the old area, you can catch the blue/green balls with one or two arrows.
- Use the meteorite launcher to clear out the group of monsters; usually use bows and arrows (ammunition is easy to make).
