Who Belongs in the Ranch: 29 Producers, Yield Curves, and the Gold Slot Nobody Uses
A Ranch is not "drop anything into an empty slot" — pick the wrong Wool producer and you get half the early output. And gold comes out of the Ranch too.
Is this the problem you have?
What can a Ranch actually produce? I put a Pal in and nothing dropped — did I use the wrong one?
Quick answer
Start here: exactly 29 Pals in the 1.0 data produce anything at a Ranch, and that list matches the list of Pals with Ranch work suitability exactly. A Pal without Ranch suitability drops nothing, and you can treat that as a hard rule. Milk, Egg and Honey really do have a single producer each (Mozzarina, Chikipi, Beegarde), but that is the exception: Wool, Flame Organ, Bone and Gold Coin each have three producers, and their yield curves differ — Cremis and Melpaca give 2 Wool from Lv1, Lamball only 1.

First Check: Does It Have Ranch Suitability
"Nothing drops" almost never comes down to placement or the building — the Pal simply has no Ranch suitability. We pulled the partner skill level tables for all 301 Pals and compared: exactly 29 produce at a Ranch, and those 29 match the list of Pals with Ranch in their work suitability in both directions, not one more and not one fewer.
So the check is blunt. Open the Pal's Paldeck page and read the work suitability row. No Ranch icon, do not bother; if it is there, the Pal will produce something. All that is left is what, and how much.
Milk, Eggs and Honey Have No Substitute; Most Everything Else Does
Milk comes only from Mozzarina, Eggs only from Chikipi, Honey only from Beegarde — each one exclusive, with no second source. If you want a cake line running, those three are hard requirements.
But that is the exception, not the rule. Wool has Lamball, Cremis and Melpaca; Flame Organ has Flambelle, Rooby and Kelpsea Ignis; Bone has Cawgnito, Sootseer and Vixy; Gold Coin has Mau, Vixy and Dumud Gild. Whatever you are short on, check for an alternate producer first instead of assuming one material maps to one Pal.
Same Material, Double the Output Depending on Who You Pick
Yield tracks partner skill level, but the curve differs by species, and that rarely gets mentioned. Line up the three Wool producers and it is obvious: Lamball gives 1 at Lv1 and 3–10 at Lv10; Cremis and Melpaca give 2 at Lv1 and 4–11 at Lv10. Same Wool, double the output early on.
A few others you will use constantly: Eggs and Milk both run 1–2 at Lv1 and 4–11 at Lv10; Honey is only 1 at Lv1 and does not reach 3–10 until Lv10. When a cake line stalls, Honey is usually the bottleneck — it has the lowest floor, and Beegarde's Ranch suitability is Lv3, which you may not be able to staff early.
Having nothing but Lamball at the start is normal, but swap it out once you catch a Cremis or Melpaca. You do not have to wait for the late game; both show up early.
The Gold Slot People Skip
Treat the Ranch as a materials factory only and you miss an entire gold income line. Mau produces Gold Coin: 10 per drop at Lv1, 30–100 at Lv10, at a 100% rate on every level. For a Pal you can catch early, that reliability is worth a Ranch slot whenever gold is tight.
Dumud Gild drops High Quality Pal Oil 80% of the time and Gold Coin the other 20%; on the gold side that is 100 at Lv1 and 300–1000 at Lv10, but its Ranch suitability is Lv4, so it comes online later. Vixy is a Pal Sphere supply line instead — at Lv10 the rough breakdown is 30% Mega Sphere, 20% Pal Sphere, 20% Arrow and 10% Gold Coin, with Hyper Sphere at only about 0.5%. Fine as a top-up for spheres; farming Hyper Spheres this way is not realistic.
These Numbers Do Not Convert Into Output Per Hour
One limit worth stating plainly: what the site can show you is the quantity and probability of a single drop. There is no data on the interval between drops. So the numbers above are good for comparing species — Lamball against Cremis — but they will not turn into "X per hour."
Real throughput also depends on Pal stamina, sanity, how crowded the base is, and how hauling is set up, none of which the data layer decides. One more warning: Ranch output gets hauled into the Feed Box and eaten, which is how cake ingredients usually vanish. The box's storage settings have to be adjusted separately.
Common mistakes
- Parking a Pal with no Ranch suitability in a Ranch and waiting for output — nothing will drop. Read the suitability row before you assign it.
- Farming Wool with Lamball through the whole early game — Cremis and Melpaca give double from Lv1, and you can swap in that early.
- Locking onto a single Pal when a material runs short — outside Milk, Eggs and Honey, most materials have three producers to choose from.
- Converting per-drop yield into output per hour — the site has no drop-interval data, so that math has nothing to stand on.
- Leaving Ranch output where it lands — it gets hauled into the Feed Box and eaten. Cake ingredients need to be stored separately.
