Before the Tower · Chapter 9
Tower 9: Zenara & Astralym
The finale. The one fight with no type chart to look up.
| Recommended level | HP | Element | Counter direction | Region |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lv80 | 420,000 | Neutral | Weak to Dark (the only bonus-damage source) | The World Tree |
Astralym is Neutral. In any of the previous eight chapters that would be good news — Neutral fears Dark, so bring Dark. But 420,000 HP, a recommended level of 80 and a five-minute clock pull it back to earth: Dark is the only direction that deals extra damage here, and it falls far short of being a plan. For eight towers you consulted the type chart; at the ninth, what you consult is your own gear, durability and effective damage time.
Pre-fight checklist
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Recommended entry level | The site data anchor is Lv80 — the 1.0 level cap. Out-levelling this fight is not on the menu. |
| Element to bring | Dark is the only source of extra damage. But it's a bonus, not a solution — the rest of your output comes from level, gear and passives. |
| Your own kit | Level-80 gear, team durability and movement — those three are the spine of this fight. The ancient-civilization technology tier is a necessity here, not a luxury. |
| Gate fights | The World Tree region holds three mission gate fights and one legendary sea lord, listed below. They aren't towers, but they audit your team before the finale does. |
Counter picks you can actually catch before this tower
Computed from this site's 1.0 data: wild, dungeon and alpha catches only, with skill-learning level at or below this tower's recommended level. High power does not guarantee a win — cooldowns, durability and your own weapon tier all count.
Dark coverage

Route and anchors Site 1.0 data recomputation
The World Tree is officially the main story's final region, resolving why the island's factions fought over the towers at all. Three classes of resource are exclusive to it: Radiant Gems and Holy Water for Awakening; Pals that spawn only here carrying World Tree passives; and the new Soralite and Paloxite ores alongside ancient-civilization relics.
This site has no region walkthrough material for the World Tree, so this section won't lay out a point-by-point route. What it can give you is what the data computes: at the Lv80 threshold there are plenty of Dark candidates, and many of them turn up in mid-game dungeons — no special detour required for the finale.
Awakening and Mutation are 1.0's two new progression systems, and both raise the ceiling of an endgame team. They're outside this chapter's scope, but worth understanding before you take Tower 9 seriously.
Gate fights before the finale
| Target | Recommended level | HP | Element | Counter direction | Role |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Panthalus | Lv70 | 353,220 | water properties | Electric | Legendary sea lord; capture and mission gating handled separately |
| Dandilord | Lv78 | 6,740 | Grass + Dark | Fire + Dragon | World Tree mission gate |
| Silvance | Lv78 | 7,442 | Grass | Fire | World Tree mission gate |
| Highly Modified Grizzbolt | Lv78 | 6,506 | Electric | land attributes | World Tree mission gate |
Those three gate fights sit at six or seven thousand HP — they aren't testing damage, they're testing whether you closed your elemental coverage. And the Highly Modified Grizzbolt is the endgame edition of your very first tower opponent; you beat it with Ground, exactly as you did seventy levels ago. The whole main line loops back to where it started, right here.
Inside the tower
Wide barrage coverage is standard for a 420,000-HP opponent. Prioritize survival and complete the full five-minute damage loop, rather than fishing for one high-risk burst window.
With no elemental weakness to exploit, your damage comes almost entirely from level, passives and weapons. That's why the previous eight chapters kept saying don't take shortcuts: only a team raised tower by tower has anything to stand on here.
This site has not yet obtained 1.0 measurements for this fight — the moveset, the dangerous animations, the real kill time inside five minutes are all still blank. This chapter will not invent a strategy for you. What it can do is walk you to the door and make sure every piece of preparation you're carrying holds up to scrutiny.
Failure diagnosis
| What you're seeing | Fix this first |
|---|---|
| Your damage doesn't come close | Check level and gear, not elements. There is no elemental answer here; Dark is only a bonus. |
| You're stuck on the gate fights | Those three only have six or seven thousand HP; getting stuck means your elemental coverage has a hole. Going back to fill it beats throwing yourself at the finale. |
| Five minutes isn't enough to finish it | That's the designed endgame threshold. Awakening and Mutation, level-80 gear, Pal passives — missing any one of the three can leave you exactly this short. |
After the fight
Nine towers done, and the first phase of this column ends here. Looking back, what actually carried you was never some single strongest Pal — it was whether, before each tower, you honestly closed the gap in front of you.
