Tips for Capturing Parlu
Kill monsters a little bit at a time, and don't hold down the left button to hit continuously (Palu's blood is very low in the early stage, and it is easy to kill him). Throw the ball when the health is low enough - you don't need to pay too much attention to the capture probability. You can often catch it if you only have one or twenty at the beginning.
Main points
- Rhythm: Most of the parlu in the novice area "retreat → pounce again", you can use this pattern - when it retreats, it moves + rolls to hide, then comes up and continues to attack.
- Multiple animals go into battle at the same time: Two or more palu often go together. If you hit one, the other one will go into battle together. Use the terrain to get stuck, collect one first and then attack the other.
- Head: Hitting the head with a paru ball can increase the chance of catching.
- For a Parlu that does not take the initiative to attack (such as the Emerald Mole): You can trap it with a Parlu ball first, then stand below and swing the left button, and you will have a chance to catch it directly with a few hits.
- Capturing the same type of Parlu for the first 12 times will give extra experience (the first 10 times in the old version, and increased to 12 times in subsequent updates), which is very helpful for leveling up in the early stage - so don't bring combat pets in the early stage to avoid killing the monsters.
- After catching 30 of them, you can reach level 10 and unlock three consecutive bows, which is a big improvement for the early battles.
- Running will scare away the novice area paru: when approaching, go to the side or behind, walk past, don't run.
Error-prone and supplementary
- Catching a certain monster for the first time is metaphysically difficult: using a low-level ball to smash it for one round and then switching to a high-level ball will often catch it (suspected to be an implicit probability).
