When Alpha eggs become the goal

Most players first take Alpha eggs seriously mid-game, after seeing someone else's base staffed by a whole row of Alpha-sized workers: normal breeding hatches normal-sized Pals, so a box full of Alphas means making the eggs you pick up become Alpha Pal eggs.

1.0 ships a reliable route: two dragons with different saddle levels, identical skill effects, and stacking that works across them. This guide covers how to assemble the combo, how the odds add up, and what an Alpha really changes.

The advanced combo: breeding Alpha Pal eggs on purpose

The signature 1.0 combo: Broncherry's Love's First Blossom (level 33 saddle) and Broncherry Aqua's Purity's Full Bloom (level 44 saddle) both read "while in party, Pal eggs you pick up have a chance of becoming an Alpha Pal egg". Duplicates of the same Pal never stack, but these are two different Pals and their effects add: 35% and 45% at skill level 1, rising to 45% and 55% at level 5 via condensation — both maxed in one party is, per community testing, a combined 100%: every picked-up egg turns Alpha (not yet re-verified by this site; run a small sample before committing).

You can add one more: Grintale — its Glaring Cat's Eye (level 19 saddle) gives a chance to pick up one extra egg whenever you collect one. Three in a party means one egg can become two Alpha eggs. One open question to be honest about: the skill text says "eggs you pick up", and breeding-farm eggs are picked up too, so they should qualify — but the community still argues over whether wild eggs trigger it. Treating it as a breeding-line multiplier is the safe read.

Hatching logistics: faster eggs, faster hatches

What actually differs between an Alpha and a normal Pal

Alphas are the oversized variants at fixed field locations, and Alpha eggs hatch into Alpha-sized Pals. Community consensus on the gap: more HP, reduced damage taken, and roughly 10× kill XP. What the site data layer can confirm directly is capture rate — an Alpha usually catches at only 0.7–0.77× the rate of its normal form.

Drops use a separate "Boss variant" table: larger quantities, plus field Alphas always drop Ancient Civilization Parts — every Paldeck page already lists the normal and Boss tables side by side. The cold water: an Alpha's IVs are not guaranteed higher. Strength still comes down to IVs and passives; Alpha status changes size and catch difficulty, not quality.

Wrap-up: hook the combo into daily breeding

The routine is simple: at level 33 craft the Broncherry saddle and run the solo 35%; raise the skill level as condensation fodder comes in; add Broncherry Aqua at 44 and knock out the Grintale saddle at 19 along the way — then swap the trio into your party each time before collecting eggs at the breeding farm. They never occupy standing combat slots.

Once the Alpha frame is yours, strength still comes back to IVs and passives: before locking in breeding stock, read the IV guide and open your eyes at level 34 before deciding who enters the pool.

Common mistakes

• Reading "does not stack" as "Broncherry and Broncherry Aqua can't share a party": it means duplicates of the same Pal don't stack — the two different skills do add up.
• Treating "both maxed = 100%" as an official guarantee: it is a community-tested figure this site has not re-verified — run a small sample before scaling up.
• Assuming Alpha eggs hatch with higher IVs: Alpha status only guarantees the frame and the Boss drop table — strength still rides on IVs and passives.
