FAQ

Do buffs stack? FAQ

Does a second copy of the same buff double it, and do two different effects cancel each other out? This one lays out what the 1.0 data layer actually lets you check.

If I bring two Pals with the same buff, does it double?

"(Does not stack)" locks a single skill: a second copy of the same one adds nothing. Different skills on different species — even with identical effect text — are reported by players to apply separately.

The game does state this outright; the hint just sits at the end of the skill text as "(Does not stack)". The site pulled the partner-skill text for all 301 Pals: 152 carry the tag — more than half of all party-buff skills.

The scope is what matters: it locks one skill, not one kind of effect. Take a pair players have tested — Demon Eye's Demonic Sight and Hoocrates' Dark Knowledge read identically (+(15~30)% Attack for Dark Pals in party) and both carry the no-stack tag, yet the skill names differ, and multiple players report that running both does apply both. Two Demon Eyes, on the other hand, is a wasted slot.

So build your party by skill name, not by effect description. A second copy of the same Pal is always wasted — Pupperai's Best Boy (+(10~35)% player melee damage), Loupmoon's Dark Gleam Strike (+(15~30)% melee attack speed) and Cattiva's Cat Helper (+(100~200) carrying capacity) all carry the tag, so one of each is the ceiling. Cattiva is the classic case: people catch a pile early and run three at once, and the extra two do nothing but occupy slots.

The range in parentheses comes from partner-skill level growth; level 1 gives you the lower bound. The Japanese client shows only the level-1 figure (10%, 15% and so on) — that is a display difference, not a wrong upper bound.

Do Lullu and Prunelia cancel each other out in the same base?

They change different things: one raises crop growth rate by (50~70)%, the other raises harvest yield by (18~35)%, and neither carries the no-stack tag.

Lullu's Floral Boost reads "while at a base, increases the growth rate of the crops by (50~70)%"; Prunelia's Prayer for Abundant Harvest reads "increases their harvest by (18~35)%". One governs how fast crops grow, the other how much each harvest returns — different numbers, so keeping both at the same base does not overwrite anything.

The same check generalizes: first ask whether the two skills touch the same quantity, then look for the no-stack tag at the end. One caveat — what the data layer proves is that these two texts carry no tag, which is not the same as an official guarantee that they add. Absence of the tag only means the game did not say they fail to stack.

Players on the forums also report a practical ceiling: once growth rate is stacked high enough, the bottleneck shifts from growing to harvesting — ripe crops sit in the field with nobody picking them. The data layer cannot settle that one; it depends on your own base's gathering and transport assignments.

Is there any skill that genuinely rewards bringing more copies?

Yes, but they are written differently — the count is part of the effect itself. Elizabee gains +(12~24)% attack per Beegarde in the party.

Elizabee's Queen Bee Command reads: "this Pal's Attack increases by (12~24)% for each Beegarde in the party." That is not the same buff applying twice — the count is an input to the effect itself, so stacking Beegarde genuinely pays off.

The tell is simple: does the effect sentence mention "each" or a count? If yes, quantity is the lever. If not, and it carries the no-stack tag, one copy is the ceiling.

Is the Terraprisma a melee weapon? Does it get melee buffs?

Yes. The 1.0 item table files it in the same melee class as the Terra Blade and Excalibur, so party buffs conditioned on melee apply.

In the site's 1.0 item table the Terraprisma's weapon class is melee, sharing it with the Terra Blade, Excalibur and Meowmere; from the same collaboration set, only the Vortex Beater sits in the rifle class. All five rarity tiers carry the same class field, so a legendary roll does not reclassify it.

So both Pupperai's melee damage and Loupmoon's melee attack speed count while you swing a Terraprisma, and since they are two different effects you can run them together. The earlier rule still holds: a second copy of the same effect will not double if it carries the no-stack tag.

Do two identical accessories stack?

The site cannot settle this one: the data layer carries 81 accessories with names and tiers, but no effect-value field.

Straight answer: the 1.0 item table holds 81 accessories, but the fields stop at name, tier, rarity and crafting recipe — no effect values. So whether two copies of the same effect add up is something the site has no basis to state, and we are not going to invent a number for it.

What the item table does show is something else: for any one element, the enhancement accessories are three distinct items — a baton (offense), a talisman (defense) and a ring — and all nine elements follow that split. Stacking a single element's bonus therefore means collecting three different accessories, not doubling up on one.

This question surfaced in both the Chinese and English communities on the same day, and neither thread produced before-and-after stat numbers. If you have a stat panel comparison from equipping and unequipping, send it in — we will fold it into the data layer and revise this entry.
